Opt out or co-registration registration:
This is where you register to win a new car, cruise etc. As part of that registration you agree to receive promotional materials from four or five merchants.
At one time I was part of an organization that sent out some 18 million e-mails a month. It was very successful compared to the other marketing methods that they had been using.
This method did achieve the same or better results for a lower cost.
