Learn How To Build Your List


After you overcome your own personal demons, list building is probably the biggest determining factor of your success.
 
When  Marketeers get together they always talk about the money is in the list. Opinions vary on how to maximize the money from your list. They range from sending a new offer every day,  four or five times a day or to once a month.
 
The everyday group says they know that people would unsubscribe. Their answer is, "so what,  they're going to unsubscribe eventually anyway." Some of these people are very successful and make a ton of money.
 
I confess that I've never been very successful with my mail lists and that was probably because I didn't mail often enough.  It is true that if I get more than one e-mail a week I usually unsubscribe.
 
I am migrating more towards RSS feeds rather than mail lists because of that factor.
 
Recently two outstanding Marketers left “Stomper Net”, one of the premier Internet Marketing organizations. Andy Jenkins and Dan Thies have started a new high-end organization called "Natural Leverage." In a recent webinar that lasted 2 1/2 hours, with a mind map from Hell, they revealed their thinking on a host of Internet Marketing techniques.
 
Including a completely new way to run a mail list, and respect the recipients. Many of their theories resonated deeply with me and I feel somewhat vindicated for refusing to beat up my subscribers.
 
The other side of the argument is that people sign up to receive information. If you don't mail them often enough you are not honoring your promise to keep them informed, teach, lead, and explain.
