Seeking Success

Regardless of  how smart you are, or how much education you have, you will never find true success until you conquer your own demons. It's important that you not share your plans and aspirations with unsupportive people, sometimes referred to as dreams stealers. You must find someone that you can rely on to support your plans.

Success, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Many people thought that I was a success. In the late 50s, early 60s, I found myself working 16 hours a day and making a little under $100,000. The problem was I couldn't get it past that mark and the government kept taking more and more. I soon realized my predicament had no cure.

My goal was to cut back on that business and invest my talent, time and money into several other businesses. Then a terrible thing happened, I woke up one morning and realized I was 40 years old and still hadn't made a million dollars (1,000,000.) You see, I always knew that I could, I just wasn't in a big hurry to do it. At that time, it was widely believed that no executive was worth anything until he reached the age of 40. This really depressed me, because there was no way now that I could disprove that theory.

My birthday is the end of May and Memorial Day weekend was coming up and  I didn't have a plan.  I had told all of my friends that I was going away for the weekend. My first stop was the Barnes & Noble bookstore, where I spent four or five hours browsing all the self help and psychology books I could find. Until I finally decided on one book… it was “Think and Grow Rich” by the Napoleon Hill.

I spent the entire three day weekend reading “Think and Grow Rich,” over and over again. Following the instructions in the book, I sat down and made a business plan on how I was going to become a millionaire, what I was willing to do in return and in what timeframe I expected it. I believe I had allocated three years to achieve that goal. I actually achieved that goal in just over two years. You can download a free copy of “Think and Grow Rich,” in this section under Napoleon Hill.

Best wishes in finding your success, the real reason that I have reenergized the site is to give back to you.
